WABASH VALLEY BRIDAL SOCIETY

I grew up in Southern California and married the love of my life two years after I graduated high school. It’s been a wild but beautiful ride! My husband and I  have 3 children; two girls and one boy. I absolutely love hanging with my family, watching Netflix, getting in a session at the gym or, on the complete opposite end of the spectrum: eating a vast array of junk food.

My photography journey began when I started shooting babies and families. The more I got into photography, the more I realized how much I loved documenting people’s love stories. I’m a planner and an organizer so wedding photography hit all the sweet spots for me! I began Shillawna Ruffner Photography in January 2009 in my home state. When our family relocated to Newburgh, IN in 2016, I found a new a whole new love for all the amazing couples in my new home and I’ve been shooting weddings across Indiana for the past three years. We are now in Terre Haute, IN but I am still photographing in Evansville, IN and also in Indianapolis!

My favorite locations to shoot are in beautiful, rural, outdoor locations! Really, anything with lots of greenery and trees just makes me swoon! I love the 4 distinct seasons here in Indiana and the ever-changing bounty of backdrops that Mother Nature provides.

It’s been a good day at work when I feel like I’ve been able to preserve a very special, fleeting moment for a client. Capturing true love, real life, and genuine happiness is what gets me out of bed in the mornings. It’s my passion and joy and I can’t wait to share it with you!
