• Announce the engagement
• Start shopping for a wedding dress
• Book a photographer
• Order a wedding cake
• Research & book a caterer
• Choose the bridesmaids' dresses & groom/groomsmen's attire
• Start getting in wedding day shape; book a personal trainer
• Shop wedding rings
• Book a videographer
• Book DJ/musicians
• Start planning honeymoon
• Finalize a guest list
• Order invitations & envelopes & wedding programs
• Order place cards for the reception (optional)
• Register a bridal gift registry at your favorite store
• Schedule engagement photo session with photographer
• Check requirements for marriage license
• Order flowers (buttonholes, bouquets, ceremony/reception flowers)
• Reserve wedding transportation
• Send invitations
• Finalize dance music with DJ/musicians
• Apply for new passport (if traveling out of country on honeymoon)
• Confirm reception menu food & drink with caterer
• Work out reception seating plan
• Finalize honeymoon plans
• Start planning bachelor/bachelorette parties
• As wedding gifts arrive, send thank you notes
• Purchase thank you gifts for the bridal party
• Buy a wedding guestbook
• Schedule date/time with officiant for rehearsal
• Plan rehearsal dinner, time & place
• Finalize guest numbers with caterer
• Try on entire wedding outfit to assure fit
• Get your marriage license
• Remind maid-of-honor & best man to prepare speeches
• Schedule wedding day hair/makeup appointment
